Tech4Impact, an NGO in partnership with the Canadian Foundation for Local Initiatives, is announcing the launch of a skills development program for women entrepreneurs in green technologies.

The program is designed for 6 months and will help women entrepreneurs take their business to the next level with the help of expert support. Women entrepreneurs who are already working in areas such as renewable energy, agriculture, sustainable land use, water and solid waste management, sustainable tourism, sustainable production systems (CO2 reduction, etc.) are invited to participate.

The program consists of 4 components:

• online trainings on startups, businesses and reducing the impact of business on climate change (for 10 projects, led by women leaders, in September-October 2021);
• individual program of work with mentors. The 6 best teams will be selected, each of which will work with an individually assigned experienced mentor (mentor from the business sphere) for 2 months (November-December 2021). This is a great opportunity to grow your business!
• in the final of the program (January-2022), the 6 best startups will be invited to a 2-day meeting (seminars) in a suburban recreation area (travel and accommodation are paid by the organizers);
• a film will be shot, a video interview with women entrepreneurs (interviews will be promoted on social networks and on the Internet so that more people in Uzbekistan learn about your stories of business development and the impact of business on climate change).

Applications are accepted only from women entrepreneurs working in Tashkent and Tashkent region, Fergana Valley (Andijan, Namangan, Fergana) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Women applying must be founders and / or CEOs of startups. The company must have a finished product / service, applications at the “business idea” stage are not accepted.

Participation in the program is free. You must fill out an application by August 20. The events of the program will be held in Russian and Uzbek languages.
