About the Project
The Curiosity Machine AI Family Challenge international course was held in Uzbekistan for the first time, from March 2018 to March 2019. Families (parents and children, 8 to 15 years old) took a course from Google in AI (artificial intelligence) and in the end they made their own project using AI, aimed at solving a particular social problem. _________ According to the World Economic Forum, 65% of children who are currently entering primary school will work after school and universities in professions that do not even exist yet. And you need to prepare for future new professions now. ___________ In March 2019, the team from Uzbekistan, The Innovators, reached the final of the global competition with the Spiky project! Bullying Detector. This is a bulling detector, a mobile application that uses machine learning, as well as face and emotion identification to analyze messages from a child to predict the likelihood of bullying. Spiky will send a notification to parents and teachers if action is needed. In total, 200 teams from all over the world took part in the competition, and only 6 of them reached the final, which was held in May-2019, at the Google office in the USA. As part of the final, the teams listened to several seminars, visited technology companies in Silicon Valley, presented their project from the stage to the judges.
