On February 18, at the Ministry of Digital Technologies, we held the opening of the new season of Technovation Girls Uzbekistan 2025. Simultaneously, openings took place in Andijan, Namangan, Nukus, Urgench, and Fergana, with the participation of 1,500 girls and mentors from all regions.

At the ceremony in Tashkent, with online connections to all other regions, the following speakers addressed the participants:

• Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, highlighted the high potential of Uzbek girls and expressed his wish for Uzbek teams to reach the international finals and participate in the final event in California. He also emphasized that Technovation participants can create exciting projects and startups, including those utilizing artificial intelligence, which will receive further support.

• Saida Yusupova, Director of the NGO Tech4Impact and Coordinator of Technovation Girls Uzbekistan, noted the program’s expansion into Uzbekistan’s regions and stressed the importance of focusing on project quality this season.

• Karina Potseluyeva, Head of Yandex Go for Business services in international markets, spoke about her career in IT, Yandex’s social and educational initiatives, and four special award categories for Technovation Uzbekistan teams, which will be announced separately. Yandex specialists will once again serve as mentors for teams across Uzbekistan.

During an engaging panel discussion on IT education and career opportunities for girls and mentors, the following experts shared their experiences and advice:

• Samira Latipova, Founder of Botifi, Monifi, and Product Community startups;
• Usman Rakhimjanov, Coordinator of startup programs and IT projects;
• Akmal Salikhov, Business Development Director at East Games.

Additionally, Elena Selezneva, Coordinator of Technovation Girls Uzbekistan, explained the competition’s rules and stages.

Our Student Ambassadors—Maftuna, Kristina, Zebiniso, Dinara, E’zoza, and Gulnoza—shared their success stories after participating in Technovation and hosted fun prize competitions.
