The fintech company OSON, in collaboration with the NGO Tech4Impact, is launching the AWE program, which this year will be held for 30 women from the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

Earlier, OSON signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan to promote women’s entrepreneurship and support the AWE program in Karakalpakstan. This partnership has enabled the company to provide financial support to Tech4Impact for the program’s implementation.

This marks the first-ever instance of AWE in Uzbekistan being supported by a private business.

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs is a unique educational and mentoring initiative designed to empower and support women founders of small businesses.

• Women aged 25 to 40, residing in Karakalpakstan;

• Proficiency in Russian or English;

• Own a business that has been operating for at least 1–2 years;
